The Silt Mat is an inlet protection device used to cover a drainage inlet during the course of construction. Silt Mat comes complete with an excelsior (curled wood) erosion control blanket that effectively slows water flow into the drainage inlet while preventing the silt and debris from entering the drainage inlet.

The Silt Mat has a high visibility "chimney" structure in its center that protects the drainage inlet from damage by vehicles and a built-in overflow capability that prevents ponding.
