Rice Straw Fiber Rolls are made from recycled rice straw pressure-blown into long tubular bundles. Custom diameters and lengths are available. They are available in quantities from one unit to bundles totaling 200 feet or pallets holding 350 feet.
Rice Straw Fiber Rolls are contained in a tubular black netting with a strand thickness of about 0.03 in, a knot thickness of about 0.055 in and a weight of at least 0.35 oz/ft made from 85% high-density polyethylene, 14% ethyl vinyl acetate with 1% carbon black for UV inhibition.
Rice Straw Fiber Rolls should be installed in accordance with standard details for fiber rolls (straw tubes/wattles).
Rice Straw Fiber Rolls are used on slopes in place of cloth silt fence or straw tubes (wattles) to reduce runoff velocity and control or capture eroded sediment. They are lighter and easier to handle and install than straw bales or cloth fences.
